    Fox Value....It's winter

I'm going through some of the foxes for sale on this website and it seems to me that prices have really dropped.

There are some nice looking foxes that are going for very little money.

Then Fire 2nv is talking about Saleens for very little money too. Has the fox market tanked? Is it over?

7 years ago, I bought my '85 for $7500. Original paint, t-top 100K, fully loaded. Everything (including AC) works. With t-tops can even go through high pressure wash. Never winter driven

    Since then:

    Shorties, Magnaflow, Flow 40's
    MSD 6
    Lowered
    Pony rims/brand new BFG G-force 245 50 16
    relay headlight conversion
    Strut bar
    g-load brace
8.8 with 3.08 gears/ turbo coupe disc brakes, new MC
Upgraded to 11" later fox rotors
    new ball joints, tie rods
    brand new leather svo interior
    Sub-frame connectors welded
    New struts/shocks
    ice-cold AC
Bazooka tube, JBL speakers, basic sony head unit
    SVO tail lights

    What's it worth? $5?

Although I have no plans on selling,

I've been looking too and the prices are slightly less locally. I've seen your car and I would expect to get minimum $7500. You rarely get back what you put into it...been there done that. ( I regret my selling black 82 GT t-Top a few years ago ). If I was you I'd be asking $10,500.

I really think it's just the market , what I mean is its small here and limited actual time to use them. I think when you start thinking these cars are investments your fooling yourself. There's really nothing rare about them and I feel the same way about Shelby's not just foxs. So just enjoy it and and don't worry about its value as for the most part that's not why you have it

I think the only 4-Eyes that really pull the dough now are the GT350 and the Pace Car.

It's all the buyer, if someone really wants a clean 86GT with T Tops they'll pay the $$! I'd pay 8g's for your car...I love it!

    403rwhp 429rwtq 12.95 @110mph...with a really crappy driver :S
    Also a 96 GT DD...only 77K's on it :D

winter kills the price point of any Fox; the 4 eyes tend to be dated, the interiors with woodgrain and porno red kill what little goodness there may be about the car as a series (not saying urs has that, lol)

My impression is middle of winter is a $2000 drop in what you might get, as well as the greater difficulty in finding a buyer with storage or a shop at this time of year. Same deal when I bought my repainted GT vert for $6000 3 yrs ago, just before Christmas.

85 000 orig km, brandnew Cobra brakes/wheels/tires, nice black leather interior, new top; stock motor, auto.

These are the pics from the Dec 2010 ad:

Points for your car are no emissions, nice and clean, better dash and seats than the aero cars.
Negative is 86 cyl heads and EFI were crap; your car is likely worth $7500 to someone in the spring.

Bingo. I pulled way north of 10k out of mine (vert tho)
Aswell IMO all classic car prices are down still, especially this time of year. Lots of deals around tho!

I'm not looking to sell.....a few years ago there seemed to be more interest in fox's in general.....

I wonder if it's because the 2005 and later ones are such a good deal for the price and much more comfort. I wonder if these are what killed the fox prices.
